Nestled near town on four acres of cedar forest, overlooking Squalicum Creek, is a contemporary northwest home for your group to enjoy. We call it the Cedar Tree House.
From the Ocean Room to the Fairhaven Loft, the themed rooms sleep up to twenty-four people in comfortable beds, with eight to fifteen being the ideal group size for the main indoor dining area. Additional dining, meeting and lounging space are available in the wood-stove adorned, large living room; the Fairhaven Loft; and the radiant-heated, bamboo-floored yurt a few steps from the house. In summer, enjoy outside dining for up to 24 and beautiful hand-made cedar benches on the large deck overlooking the Creek.
Retreats, clubs, activity groups, meetings, trainings, workshops, gatherings, reunions and small events can all find a comfortable home at Cedar Tree House. Ample parking is available. A large screen TV, along with a sound system and BluRay DVD/CD/iPod player and hook ups are available in the living room, which seats twelve (or 24 with added chairs). Cook for yourself in the gourmet kitchen or hire a personal chef or caterer to prepare your food.
If one of your goals is relaxation, enjoy the outdoor hot tub for six under the stars. We can also arrange private wine tastings through nearby wineries. Or go swimming in gorgeous Lake Whatcom–the beach is only five minutes’ drive.
Cedar Tree House is 12 minutes from the heart of the lively cultural activity and dining life of downtown Bellingham, but central to most outdoor activities as well. Recreation opportunities abound, including walking trails, a fire circle, and a large lawn right on the property. Within a few minutes of the property are: three wineries; river sports; numerous picturesque hikes and walks; exceptional road and mountain biking; wildlife watching; and organic farms to visit. Plus, Cedar Tree House sits on the road to Mount Baker, which provides excellent outdoor adventure in all seasons.
